Kate Milford is a wonderful author, and one who is very good at writing memorable, bizarre characters that really catch your attention. The story was so entertaining that I never wanted the book to end (thankfully there's a sequel!) I definitely recommend reading this book. The descriptions and writing are easy to understand and read, but are absolutely brilliant. It's sort of a ghost story, sort of a fantasy novel, and sort of a completely unique genre. They are all connected to Greenglass House somehow, and Milo wants to find out why so many guests are there at the same time. ![]() ![]() The story is about how, around Christmas, which is usually a quiet time at Greenglass House, guests start mysteriously showing up. Milo and his family own an inn called Greenglass House that is one of the most original places I've ever read about. The story takes place in the human world, but in a fictional town called Nagspeake that really feels like it belongs in a fairytale. This is an extremely original, weird, brilliant book, full of unique, lovable characters. ![]()
